Regular Training Sessions

A running club is all about running together for mutual support and enjoyment.
In Garden City Runners, we believe that that support and enjoyment should be there for runners and joggers of every ability, regardless of their goals or reasons for running. Thus an important part of our activities are our regular training sessions, which include runs and running activities suitable for YOU, regardless of your speed (or for some of us, lack of speed) and regardless of your goals (whether you are striving hard to improve, or are just trying to maintain your current fitness).
Take a look at our programme below, and see which sessions suit you!
BEGINNERS' GROUP
Our Beginners' Group is for people just starting out on their road to regular running, and need that extra bit of motivation. It gives new members an opportunity to progress steadily from walking to jogging, and then from jogging to running.
You will be able to train with us in safety, as no-one ever gets left behind, and you’ll be amazed at the steady improvement you will make. These sessions would also be ideal for anyone training for events such as Race for Life and the many other organised races that take place in Hertfordshire and beyond.
The sessions start at 6pm each Monday and Wednesday. Just come along to meet Eleanor, Dennis and many other local runners. Meet outside the main reception at Gosling Sports Park.
Some of the lovely folk that will be taking out the beginner's group.
