250 Race Entry Limit

Race HQ at Wheathampstead Memorial Hall,
Marford Road, Wheathampstead, AL4 8AY - MAP

Approximate 10 mile mixture of road and off-road sections along country roads,
footpaths and a golf course.

Entry

Race Numbers
Please present proof of entry by way of your race confirmation letter upon collection of your number and race pack at the Memorial Hall between 8.30am and 9.45am.

You must pin your number to the front of your vest or outer garment.

Please write details of any existing medical conditions on the reverse side.


Race Entrants
If the quota of 250 runners has not filled up, we will accept entries on the day, £22 + £2 if unattached. This can be checked at the online entry website at www.races.gardencityrunners.org.uk.

Transferring Race Numbers
Your number is transferable and that can be done free of charge via the online entry system by 28th September 2013.
Race numbers can also be transferred on the day for £5. If you run under someone else's name without transferring details, you will be disqualified.



HQ
The Race HQ has an unattended area for changing and baggage may be left there.

Please do not leave valuables as the organisers cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage, however caused.



Parking
Competitors may not park at the Memorial Hall which is reserved for race officials.

Please use car parks and roads in Wheathampstead. Toilet facilities are available in the Wheathampstead Memorial Hall race HQ.

Race Intructions

Please obey the marshals' instructions.

If you retire from the race, please notify the nearest contact point e.g. marshal, water station or ask another runners to pass on a message with your location.

For your safety and that of other runners, the use of MP3 players or equivalent is prohibited. Disregard of this rule will result in disqualification.


At the finish, proceed steadily through the funnel staying in your finishing order.

At the end of the funnel there will be a finisher's medal for you. A race clock will be positioned at the finish.
There is a race cut off time of 2 hours 15 minutes of the start.



Prize Giving

We aim to present prizes at noon at the front of the Race HQ.

All runners are encouraged to stay for the presentation and some spot prizes will also be given.

We will advise you of the website address of any photographs on the results page.

However, it must be emphasised that if you are feeling unwell on the day, do not run especially if the weather is hot or raining.

We recommend you hydrate well the day before the race in the event of hot weather.

Entrants should be fit enough to run long distance and run at their own risk.



Results
Results will be posted on the race web site as soon as possible after the race.
